Sweet Sweet Summer

Summer is here.

And Tango has some interesting dentition.

Also, there is a new goat on the farm, Pequenya.

We all like her.

The boys have been building model airplanes.

And flying them off the roof of the garage.

Tango has been digging in the dirt.

Foxtrot is training for his first jousting match.

Papa has been helping the kids build ramps.

And he is looking mighty fine while doing it, despite fighting a major sore throat.

We have a 4 year old as of TODAY!

Well, it happened, we have a 4 year old. Do you know what 4 year olds are good at. "Lifting stuff," according to Foxtrot. He is now super strong and can life things like "tables, rocking chairs, and babies." Each day comes with new excitement.

This weekend we celebrated his new strength with a "Mountain" birthday. He wanted to camp out with all his buddies in the mountains, but I said "no." And instead, we had a mid-day camp out. And I think he enjoyed it.

 Check out this happy camper!

We made bug juice, complete with blueberry tea, bubbly water, and honey.

We had a Trail Mix bar and Cheetos.

The kids made HoBo bags and trooped around the farm.

And we set up lots of tents to play in.

We also set up balloons. No birthday is complete without balloons.

Although Foxtrot asked that instead of giving him gifts, his party guests donate to the Washington Trails association, his Pop Pops still got him a new big boy bike, complete with peddles.

He was a natural!

He had a great party!
I'm sure Foxtrot wished for Legos and t.v. time.

And here he is. . . The new 4 year old!

Always moving, jumping, thinking, asking, talking, and dancing!

And itching his bug bites! (Because he is "delicious.")

Our little family of 4 has a 4 year old!

A very goofy family of 4 has a very goofy 4 year old!

crazy weather we're having, isn't it?

We have had a week filled with beautiful weather. Warm and Sunny!

We've been spending lots of time practicing being quiet in nature this week.

We've had bunnies hanging out at our house.

And Papa's been growing a sweet beard.

It has been so warm I got to take photos of a half naked baby outside.
Be prepared for cuteness in the next few photos. . .

I asked Foxtrot if I could take his photos outside, but he told me he wanted me to take photos of him playing Transformers.

The Easter Croup

We had "the croup" last week. Both Tango and Foxtrot took turns having high fevers, a nasty seal bark cough, and sleepless nights. At this point, Papa Foxtrot and I are wondering what 5 hours of sleep . . . a continuous 5 hours of sleep. . . feels like.

Despite the sickness we found some time to take some pictures.

Untle Pete bounced on the trampoline with Foxtrot.

And he was electrified with happiness.

We got a package from Pop-Pops which Tango was excited about.

Papa built some awesome lego castles with Foxtrot . . . or by himself.

Tango longed to go outside.

Mom found some time to stop and rest.

This is Foxtrot's 'game face.' He was ready to go look for the bunnies.

And he was hot on their trails. He even spotted some bunny eggs.

"Which way did they go, George?"

Ah-Ha! Here they are! Foxtrot found the gifts left by the bunny.

Tango was so sick, she didn't have much excitement to give over the discovery of the Bunny Baskets.

But, a little while later, they both got into it.
