The Easter Croup

We had "the croup" last week. Both Tango and Foxtrot took turns having high fevers, a nasty seal bark cough, and sleepless nights. At this point, Papa Foxtrot and I are wondering what 5 hours of sleep . . . a continuous 5 hours of sleep. . . feels like.

Despite the sickness we found some time to take some pictures.

Untle Pete bounced on the trampoline with Foxtrot.

And he was electrified with happiness.

We got a package from Pop-Pops which Tango was excited about.

Papa built some awesome lego castles with Foxtrot . . . or by himself.

Tango longed to go outside.

Mom found some time to stop and rest.

This is Foxtrot's 'game face.' He was ready to go look for the bunnies.

And he was hot on their trails. He even spotted some bunny eggs.

"Which way did they go, George?"

Ah-Ha! Here they are! Foxtrot found the gifts left by the bunny.

Tango was so sick, she didn't have much excitement to give over the discovery of the Bunny Baskets.

But, a little while later, they both got into it.

tulip time

It's April in the Skagit Valley and that means the tulips are in full bloom. Photos of these blooms have been floating around the internet as part of the top ten things to see in America. The color is vibrant! You can't help but snap a few photos.
So sweet.

Kid's got style.

And he likes to jump!

She's as cute as a button.

And he could not keep his nose out of the flowers.

As he kept running up and down the rows, she kept her eye out for him.

He really loved to study the flowers.

And he loved to tell Tango all about the tulips.

All she wanted to do was eat the dirt.

Here she is, going for another clump.

They look pretty content with life.

We got a stranger to take our photo (Papa was at work).

All of these photos really do not need captions. . .

But, maybe YOU can think of your own caption for this one.

That's right, YOU!
AND maybe you want to come see the tulips next April!
We'd love to have you come stay with us!

Maybe Foxtrot will give you a ride on his tractor.

Or maybe you'll get sweet sunny kisses through the fence railings.

WOAH!

spring break camping trip

Papa Foxtrot and I took the kids camping on the peninsula. We hit the costal portion of Olympic National Park. It was a perfect two night stay in the woods. This was Tango's first camping trip and she did a great job.

After two days of rolling around in the sand, sitting around the campfire, and eating S'mores, we all needed a bath. So we headed to the Sol Duc hot springs to take a bath with the visiting Canadians. A nice way to conclude the trip.
